Repatriation is the process of returning a person back to one’s place of origin or citizenship. It is not uncommon to die in one City and be buried or cremated in another. Centurion Funeral Directors may be called upon to make all the necessary repatriation arrangements. Being registered undertakers we are able to the handle the entire process from collection, preparation, coffining and repatriation of deceased anywhere in the world via road or flight. We arrange for all the necessary repatriation requirements such as embalming, embalming certificate, non infectious certificate, non contagious certificate, Department of Health approval, Embassy approval, death certificate, etc. We fully understand the legalities and logistics of providing swift and cost affective repatriation.
Embalming sanitizes and preserves the deceased. It makes it possible to lengthen the time between death and the burial or cremation, allowing family members time to arrange and participate in the type of service most comforting to them. Embalming is done by a qualified embalmer and a Certificate is issued upon request.
